Welcome to KartSport Taranaki, an affiliated member of KartSport New Zealand.
The Taranaki Kart Club is over 50 years old and we operate a family friendly club with over 100 members of all ages - with new members always welcome.
The Club is an incorporated club and operates under a detailed Constitution.
Our race meetings are held on the last Sunday of every month at the Supreme Kart Suplies Raceway, which is located at the end of Joll Street, Waitara, not far off State Highway 3. We have top-class and well-maintained facilities including a great café which is open on Club Days. Spectators are free, so if you’re interested, come along and have a look.
Karting is a great family sport, and caters to all ages (and abilities!) from the Cadet Class (ages 6 through to twelve) through to Senior classes (ages 15 and upwards). Here in Taranaki we hold a Winter and Summer Series (raced over four meetings each), together with one-off events such as annual Club Championships and Enduro races.
For the more serious competitor, you can progress to racing in out of province series such as the Goldstar Series held at the Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu and Wellington tracks, and the North Island and National Sprint Champs held annually each year.
